Georgetown ISD Announces Principal for Forbes Middle School

The Georgetown Independent School District named Davin Vogler as the principal for the Forbes Middle School on Tuesday.

As principal, Vogler will lead, support, and ensure that the campus is aligned to the mission of GISD and supports a culture aligned to the GISD Strategic Framework.

Vogler has 18 years of experience in public education, currently serving as associate principal at Georgetown High School for the past seven years.  Before that, he served as principal and assistant principal in Manor ISD and Lago Vista ISD and taught Texas history and AVID, a college readiness program designed to help students prepare for and succeed in college and beyond.

Davin is a strong choice for Forbes Middle School,” said Superintendent Devin Padavil. “He has been a part of this community for years and brings previous experience as a principal. It’s also advantageous that he currently serves as the Associate Principal at Georgetown High School. When it comes to preparing our students for the next level, Davin will have a mindset of getting the students of Forbes ready to be successful high school freshmen.

Vogler holds a master’s degree in educational administration from Concordia University — Texas and a bachelor’s degree in personal financial planning from Texas Tech University.

Davin lives in Georgetown with his wife Carrie, a librarian at Frost Elementary School. They have three children, Micah, a senior at Georgetown High School, Cammie, a sophomore at Georgetown High School, and Jarrett, a 7th grader at Forbes Middle School.  Davin will transition into his role at the end of the school year.
