Presentation of the Lead — Grow — Serve award
The Board presented the Lead – Grow – Serve award, a recognition given to those in our community who do extraordinary things that exemplify our mission and support student success, to 15 community members and staff for their heroic actions that saved the life of a 6th grader at Forbes.

TMEA All-state Qualifiers
Kamrin Gordon, GHS choir student and Ian Mcalister, GHS band student were recognized for qualifying for a spot in the TMEA All-State Concerts Feb. 7-10.
UIL State Film Champion: Peace Msengi
After placing 4th at the UIL State Film Festival in 2023, Peace returned this year and brought home 1st place.

From East View: Jordan Fitzpatrick, Genesis Murillo-Rodriguez, Arianna Tatar-Perez (National Qualifier) and Rhyanna Pena (National Qualifier)
From Georgetown HS: Abbie Squyres, Brylee Dew (National Qualifier), Ellie House (National Qualifier), Emily Spinner (National Qualifier), Lauren Broussard (National Qualifier) and Bailey Sloas (National Qualifier)
NJORTC Nationals Qualifiers: Liberty Battalion
After competing at the Texas State Championship Drill Meet in February, Liberty Battalion is heading to Nationals for the 3rd year in a row.
UIL State Swim Champions: GHS Boys Swimming
The GHS Boys swim team took first in state for the 2nd year in a row, becoming the first athletic program in GISD history to win back-to-back state titles.
