NAMM Foundation Recognizes Georgetown ISD as an Outstanding Community for Music Education
For the fourth year in a row, NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Foundation has recognized Georgetown ISD as one of the best communities in the nation for music education.
The Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) award recognizes districts who have displayed outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education accessible to all students as part of a well-rounded education.
"Receiving this recognition from NAMM is not just an accolade for our school district, but a validation of the unwavering dedication and passion of our music educators," GISD Director of Fine Arts Carol Watson said. "It's a testament to their hard work in providing exceptional music education to all students."
