Stand-Alone Field Testing Feb. 5-9

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has determined that a stand-alone field test is necessary to develop future state assessments with writing components. Field-test data will be collected from a sample of students across the state and results will not be shared with students, campuses, districts, or the state. 

Field-test questions and data will be reviewed by the Texas Assessment Program to determine whether the questions are appropriate for inclusion in the test bank. TEA selected campuses and grade levels to participate in the English Reading Language Arts Stand-Alone Field Test during the week of February 5-9. All 3rd-5th grade students testing in Spanish will participate in the Spanish Reading Language Arts Stand-Alone Field Test.
