From the City of Georgetown: City of Georgetown 2023 bond propositions
The Georgetown City Council called a Nov. 7 election π³οΈ for a $130M bond package that would fund new and expanded facilities with no expected change to the tax rate.
The four propositions include:
π’ Proposition A would fund the construction of an 80,000-square foot Customer Service Center that would consolidate City services in one central location.
πββοΈ Proposition B would fund the renovation and expansion of the current Georgetown Recreation Center on Austin Avenue.
πΆ Proposition C would fund an expansion to the City of Georgetownβs animal sheltering capacity.
π Proposition D would fund a partnership with the YMCA of Central Texas to build a jointly-owned recreation center.
Important election dates:
Oct. 23 to Nov. 3: Early voting
Oct. 27: Last day to apply for Ballot by Mail
Nov. 7: Election Day
