From the City of Georgetown: City of Georgetown 2023 bond propositions

The Georgetown City Council called a Nov. 7 election πŸ—³οΈ for a $130M bond package that would fund new and expanded facilities with no expected change to the tax rate. 

The four propositions include: 

🏒 Proposition A would fund the construction of an 80,000-square foot Customer Service Center that would consolidate City services in one central location. 

πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ Proposition B would fund the renovation and expansion of the current Georgetown Recreation Center on Austin Avenue. 

🐢 Proposition C would fund an expansion to the City of Georgetown’s animal sheltering capacity. 

πŸƒ Proposition D would fund a partnership with the YMCA of Central Texas to build a jointly-owned recreation center. 

Important election dates: 

Oct. 23 to Nov. 3: Early voting 
Oct. 27: Last day to apply for Ballot by Mail
Nov. 7: Election Day
