Georgetown ISD Announces Jennifer Guidry as New Tippit Middle School Principal

The Georgetown Independent School District named Jennifer Guidry as the new Tippit Middle School Principal at a special board meeting on Thursday, July 7. 

Guidry has served as principal at McCoy Elementary since 2018 where she was responsible for leading, facilitating, and supporting campus transformation into a learning organization aligned to GISD mission and beliefs. McCoy has been recognized as a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School every year that Guidry has served as principal.

Guidry has 17 years of experience in education, previously serving in a variety of roles including middle school assistant principal, special education lead, elementary school teacher, and aim intervention teacher. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Wayland Baptist University.

Jennifer is married to husband Wes and together they have two children in GISD: nine-year-old Liam and eight-year-old Demi. Jennifer, a GISD alumna, grew up in Georgetown and was in the first eighth grade class at Tippit.

In her new role, Guidry will be responsible for leading Tippit Middle School and ensuring that all actions and behaviors support the mission of GISD and advance the campus toward the GISD vision.
