Georgetown ISD Announces Leslie Talamantes as Director of Human Resources

The Georgetown Independent School District named Leslie Talamantes as the new director for human resources during Tuesday’s school board meeting.

Talamantes enters this role with more than 20 years of public education experience: including nine years as a classroom teacher, four years as a district coordinator of Bilingual/ESL, and eight years in campus administration, most recently as an elementary school principal in Marble Falls ISD. 

Talamantes holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Wayland Baptist University and a master’s degree from Texas Tech University in educational administration.

In her new role, Talamantes will assist the Executive Director of Human Resources to ensure the effective operation and management of district personnel functions.  She will also assist in implementing strategic planning of human resources programs to include professional and auxiliary recruitment and staffing, wage and salary administration, staff appraisals, hiring practices, investigations, employee relations and benefits.  

Talamantes will begin her new role on January 29. 

Leslie is married to her husband Robert, and together they have three children: a son, Fox, and daughters Kross and Bliss.
