Georgetown ISD Earns State’s Highest Fiscal Accountability Rating

Georgetown Independent School District received a rating of “A” for “Superior Achievement” under Texas’ School FIRST (Fiscal Integrity Rating System of Texas) financial accountability system. The “Superior Achievement” rating is the state’s highest, demonstrating the quality of Georgetown ISD financial management.

“This rating shows our district’s accountability, not only for student learning, but also for making the most of our tax payer's dollars,” said Dr. Devin Padavil, Superintendent. “We are proud of this rating, and I commend our staff for their commitment to our financial well-being.”

Georgetown ISD has a long-standing reputation for superior financial performance. In addition to the Superior rating on School FIRST, Georgetown ISD maintains a rating of “Aa1” from Moody’s and “AA” from S&P Global ratings, indicating very low credit risk and a strong capacity for financial commitments. The district also boasts one of the lowest tax rates in Williamson County.

The primary goal of School FIRST is to achieve quality performance in the management of the school district's financial resources. Information regarding the report was shared by the district’s Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Hanna during a Public Hearing on October 16. You can view the report on the district website at: www.georgetownisd.org/financialtransparency.
