Georgetown ISD Names New Head Football Coach for East View High School
The East View High School Patriot Football Team will have new leadership following the hiring of Bill Robertson as the new head football coach and campus athletic coordinator.
Robertson comes to Georgetown with 25 years of coaching experience, most recently as the Defensive Coordinator for the College Station A&M Consolidated High School Tigers. During his time in College Station, the Tigers advanced to the State Quarterfinals in 2023 and the Regional Semi-Finals in 2024, posting a 22-5 record and featuring a defense that ranked as the #2 scoring defense in Region III.
"I am excited for the future of East View athletics with the addition of Coach Robertson,” GISD Superintendent Dr. Devin Padavil said. “A committee led by Athletic Director Jason Dean helped select Coach Robertson because of his high expectations for athletes and coaches, his focus on campus culture, and the competitive attitude he brings to the table. I know our athletes, coaches, and families will connect with him because of his strong background and student-centered focus."
Coach Robertson holds a bachelor’s in Government from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University. Robertson and wife Kimberly have been married for 19 years, and together they share two children: 16-year-old Payton and 11-year-old Walker.
“We are thrilled to welcome Coach ‘Rob’ to Patriot Nation,” East View High School Principal Alfonso Longoria said. “It is clear that he cares deeply about young people and will move Patriot football forward with a championship high school mindset.”
