Director of Health Services Voted President-Elect of Region 13 School Nurse Organization

After an extensive selection process, members of Texas School Nurses Organization (TSNO) Region 13 have voted GISD Director of Health Services Mindy Petty into the role of TSNO Region 13 President-Elect.

As president-elect, Petty will spend time familiarizing herself with TSNO Region 13 before assuming the role of president. She will attend training and collaboration opportunities for school nurses, host nurse administrator meetings, maintain open and active communication with members and participate in leadership development to enhance her skills and knowledge.

“Being elected into this position is both an honor and a responsibility,” Petty said. “It's an opportunity to serve and advocate for the health and well-being of our students, to support fellow school nurses, and to contribute positively to our educational community.

TSNO Region 13 supports local schools primarily through the advocacy, education, and professional development of school nurses. You can learn more about the organization on their website.
