Trustees honored during School Board Recognition Month in January
January is School Board Recognition Month, and Georgetown ISD is celebrating its trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district and its students.
The theme of this year’s School Board Recognition Month is Locally Elected, Community Connected which highlights the dedication of school boards to working toward a brighter future for all students in a way that reflects the community’s values.
“School board trustees are volunteers that shape our schools through governing the work of the district and being a voice for the families of Georgetown,” said Superintendent Devin Padavil. “This month-long celebration is an opportunity for us to thank them for their leadership, guidance, and service.”
Throughout the month, campuses and departments will recognize the board through various events including a brief presentation at the start of the Jan. 16 board meeting.
