Celebrate Hammerlun's 100th Birthday on Dec. 9 during the Preservation Georgetown Home Tour

The original Georgetown High School, now Building 1 at the Hammerlun Center, was opened in December 1923. Since then, it has served thousands of students of all ages. In 1975, a new Georgetown High School opened on Austin Avenue, and today, the Hammerlun Center serves as an administrative office and professional learning space for GISD.

We are excited to celebrate the 100th Birthday of this building during the Preservation Georgetown Home Tour on Saturday, Dec. 9, and everyone's invited!

The event runs from 11 am until 5 pm with tours and special student performances throughout the day.

Birthday cake will be served at 1 pm in the lobby.

While the event is happening as part of the Preservation Georgetown Home Tour, guests do not need a ticket to attend the Hammerlun event.

We hope you'll join us on Dec. 9. In the meantime, please spread the word through our campus and department channels and let us know you're coming through this Facebook Event: https://fb.me/e/75Lb8VEWh
