School Supply Donations Needed - Learn How to Give

The Georgetown Cultural Citizen Memorial Association is the district's partner to provide backpacks and school supplies to families each August.  Any family in GISD who needs assistance can take advantage of this free event. However, it takes a village to make this happen. There are two ways you can donate:

  1. Purchase and drop off new backpacks and/or school supplies at the Carver Center for Families, 1200 W 17th St, Georgetown, any weekday between 9 am and 5 pm. Donations collected will be used to stuff backpacks to be handed out at an event on August 3. To view a list of requested supplies by GISD campuses, visit our school supply lists on our website: https://www.georgetownisd.org/Page/23913

  2. Make a financial contribution to Georgetown ISD. Cash donations are used to fund school supply needs throughout the school year and for summer school. Contact the communications and community engagement team to learn more at communityrelations@georgetownisd.org or by calling 512-943-1890.

From the GCCMA: Save the Date for School Supply Distribution Event on August 3.
Families in Georgetown who need assistance with school supplies can get free backpacks and supplies on Saturday, August 3 at the new Carver Center for Families, 1200 W. 17th Street, Georgetown.
This free event is hosted by the Georgetown Cultural Citizens Memorial Association (GCCMA) in partnership with Georgetown ISD, Georgetown Police Department (GPD), Starry and the Carver Center for Families, First Baptist Georgetown, and GTX Connect. More details will be shared this summer.
